The sixth edition of the Great Breweries Marathon will take place on Sunday 7 May. Registration for this unique experience marathon past three well-known Belgian breweries opened on Thursday.
Duvel Moortgat in Breendonk, Bosteels Brewery in Buggenhout and Palm & De Hoorn & Rodenbach Brewery in Steenhuffel are the three Great Breweries that are joining forces to organise the Great Breweries Marathon for the sixth time. Both runners and walkers are welcome and can choose a course of 42.195 or 25 km.
The course winds along rural roads across Antwerp, Flemish Brabant and East Flanders. Start and finish are at the gates of Duvel Moortgat. Along the way, participants will of course visit the other two breweries, where walkers can look forward to a beer tasting.
At the finish at Duvel Moortgat, the walkers and runners will raise a glass to their magnificent sporting achievement. All participants will also go home with a Great Breweries beer basket. Last year, the event welcomed more than 4,500 participants.
