How to get there?
Come by bike or public transport to the start and finish of the Great Breweries Marathon in Breendonk. Prepare your trip and allow for extra time to reach your destination.
ON FOOT OR BY BIKE
Duvel Brewery is easily accessible on foot or by bike. There will be ample bicycle parking provided by the entrance to Duvel Brewery and the start area.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The train is the ideal way of getting to the Great Breweries Marathon. What’s more, on Sunday you can travel half price on the train. There is a free shuttle bus between the station of Mechelen and the start.
- The first shuttle bus leaves from Mechelen station at 6:40am.
- The last bus leaves from Breendonk to Mechelen at 7:30pm.
BY CAR
The streets around Duvel Moortgat Brewery will be closed for the event.
Make it easy for yourself and follow the signposting from the various directions.

Then, follow the signallers’ instructions. They will guide you to the free parking spaces.
From Carré parking lot, walk to the start and finish area.
From Pfizer parking lot a shuttle bus will take you to the start and finish area. The shuttle busses will run from 7am to 7:15pm. When leaving the parking lot, you pay 5 euros for your ticket.
From Brussels
- Follow the A12 (Brussels-Antwerp).
- Exit dancing Carré (Koning Leopoldlaan 2, Willebroek). The parking lot of this famous Belgian dancing has been reserved for participants of the Great Breweries Marathon.
- Follow the instructions of our parking staff.
FROM GHENT / SINT-NIKLAAS
- Follow the E17 and take exit 15 in the direction of Temse & Mechelen.
- Follow the N16 and turn onto the A12 in the direction of Brussels
- Exit Londerzeel
- Follow the arrows to the reserved parking area.
From Mechelen
- Follow the N16 in the direction of Willebroek & Sint-Niklaas.
- Follow the A12 in the direction of Brussels.
- Exit Londerzeel
- Follow the arrows to the reserved parking area.
From Antwerp
- Follow the A12 in the direction of Brussels.
- Exit Londerzeel
- Follow the arrows to the reserved parking area.
